The Lalo 3-in-1 Potty is a stylish, design-forward potty training solution from the makers of the popular Lalo high chair. It converts from a floor potty to a toilet seat trainer to a step stool, with a soft-open lid and built-in wipes dispenser. The removable inner bowl is dishwasher safe for easy cleanup, and the non-slip base keeps it stable. At $62.00, it is priced near the premium end of the market. However, despite marketing itself as a complete potty training solution, the Lalo has significant ergonomic shortcomings. When used as a toilet trainer, the child's legs dangle freely with no foot support from the step stool — the step is simply too short to provide meaningful foot contact. This means the child's knees remain below their pelvis, sitting at a standard 90° angle rather than the knees-above-hips position that physical therapists recommend for optimal bowel movements. The step stool mode is also inadequate for reaching the sink, leaving children stretching on tiptoes. While the Lalo looks beautiful, it prioritizes aesthetics over the biomechanical principles that actually make potty training easier and healthier for children.
